Parents Reaching Out encourages the development of effective partnerships between parents and health care professionals. We work with health care providers, state agencies, programs for medical trainees, and with other community organizations to promote understanding of the value of family/patient-centered, culturally competent care.
We partner with families and other organizations to represent the voice of families in New Mexico on issues related to children with disabilities and special health needs. We want to contribute to building access to care, increasing insurance coverage, improving service delivery, and other important healthcare policy issues.
